Hindi Diwas or the Hindi Day

Hindi is the most widely spoken language in India. It is almost spoken in every single part of the country. People use this language also to trade or business. To acquaint people about all the information about the language, we the CAS student decided to present an assembly before the school about the Hindi Day or the Hindi Diwas. We planned a proper format of the assembly and divided work amongst ourselves. We decided, as the assembly is being done on the occasion of Hindi Day, why not present the complete assembly is front of the school in the same language. We took help from our Hindi teacher to complete the assembly as we were in a need of expert guidance. We finalized the format of the assembly and presented a practice in front of the Hindi teacher so that she will help us with few things such as the corrections in the language being used and what all additions can be made. After all the corrections and additions we presented the assembly in front of the whole school and everyone was really impressed of our work and our Hindi teacher was happy that her language has being recognized.

Hindi is a standardised and sanskritised register of the Hindustani language. Hindustani is the native language of most people living in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, and Rajasthan. Modern Standard Hindi is one of the official languages of India. As of 2009, the best figure Ethnologue could find for speakers of actual Hindustani Hindi was 180 million in 1991. In the 2001 Indian census, 258 million (258,000,000) people in India reported Hindi to be their native language. However, this number included millions of people who were native speakers of related languages but who thought of their speech as a dialect of Hindi.
